Fall 2024 Move-In: Storage Return Information

The UPS Store Student Storage Service and Boston University are working together to make the Pack, Store, or Ship program as smooth as possible for BU students.

***Please note, ALL students must request the delivery of their items in The UPS Store Student Portal by August 1, for storage deliveries between Aug 20 - Sept 10. Once the request is scheduled, students will receive an email confirmation with their pick up Date, Time and Move-In Station location to pick up their storage.

Students Living On Campus

If a student placed personal belongings with the UPS Store Student Storage Program, their items will be available in designated Move-In stations near their new residence hall. For Peak Move-In dates between August 28 - Sept 2th, on campus deliveries are FREE from 9am - 5pm. All other delivery dates are our standard delivery fee schedule found on our Prices Page.

Please note that students may pickup their storage at anytime during or after their scheduled delivery day and time window while the Move-In station is open.

Students Living Off Campus

Students that will be living in off campus housing WILL need to request a storage delivery Date & Time by August 1, 2024. To request your delivery, please Click Here to login to your student portal and request your storage delivery.

Please note that we are not offering indoor delivery this Fall.

For Peak Move-In dates between August 28 - Sept 2nd, there is a fee of $49.99 for all Off Campus deliveries from 9am - 5pm. All other delivery dates are our standard delivery fee schedule found on our Prices Page.

Ship Ahead Service
The UPS Store makes coming to school easy and stress-free with their Ship Ahead Service. Students can ship their items to Boston in advance of their arrival in the fall. The UPS Store team will receive the items, store them in a climate-controlled warehouse (up to one month), and deliver the items when the student arrives on the BU campus. Please note that boxes must be shipped at least two weeks prior to your arrival date.

For the Fall Semester, Ship Ahead items must arrive at our warehouse by August 1st if you require delivery prior to Sept 15th.

Step 1: First Sign Up as a customer on our website. You will receive an email with an activation link. Click on the link to activate your account.

Step 2: Second, print your Name and Phone Number on two places on each box.

Step 3: Ship your items directly to our warehouse address listed below with a shipping company (typically UPS). You are responsible for paying the shipping costs to send your items to us.

Step 4: Once we receive them all we will create a contract, send a online invoice, and get the delivery scheduled. Please forward any tracking info, and be sure we receive all packages by August 1st.

Step 5: When you receive your contract # by email, Login to the Customer Portal and Request your Storage Delivery. Fill out the form and we will schedule the delivery and you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how and where to pickup your storage when you arrive in Boston.

The fee for our Ship Ahead Storage service is $39.99 for each item shipped to us. This fee includes receiving your items, storing (up to one month) and curbside delivery (weekdays only) of your items when you return to Boston.

If you ship us oversize items that are over 50 lbs in weight, or larger than 20" x 20" x 20", there is an additional fee of $15 per item.

The UPS Stores are individually owned and operated franchised locations. Storage and Ship Ahead services are unique to our 6 Boston locations. Free boxes for storage customers and curbside pick up are only available at our locations listed below.

Storage during the Summer Months
Students moving out and needing storage during the summer, will need to request a curbside storage pick up date and time in The UPS Store Student Portal at least three days prior to the requested pick up date.

Students (storage customers only) can pickup their free storage boxes and tape at our The UPS Store located at 1089 Commonwealth Ave 6 days a week, or request a supply delivery to you for a small fee by emailing our Support desk at support@packstoreship.com

Students that have an urgent need for storage, can always drop off your storage items at The UPS Store location at 1089 Commonwealth Ave in West Campus, seven days a week, year round.
