Is my deposit refundable?
Yes, your deposit is fully refundable, minus any package materials you pick up.

When do I pay?
Payment is due at the time that you store or ship your boxes.

How do I pay?
You can pay by credit card, check or cash.

What is the deposit for?
The deposit is for securing a spot in our storage facility. It also goes towards any box you get before your storage date.

How far in advance can I store my items?
Don't wait until the last minute! You can start your storage with us at ANY TIME!

Will you pick up my items from my room?
No problem. We do inside pickups for an extra charge.

Can I place my items in storage, even though I do not know my new address yet?
Yes you can. You can just email us your new address once you receive it.

How far in advance can I pick up storage boxes?
As soon as you sign up, you can start getting storage boxes. Just email us or call 617-254-7173.

Do you offer extended storage?
Yes. We can store for as long as you require. (additional charges apply.)

If I do not return to Massachusetts, can you ship my storage items to me?
We are The UPS Store®! We can ship anything, anywhere!! (except hazardous materials.)

Will you pick up and deliver off campus?
No problem. We do charge a pick up fee for all off campus locations.

What is The UPS Store® White Glove service?
The UPS Store® White Glove service is a special service offered where everything is done for you, including the packing. The UPS Store® will professionally pack your items and deliver them to our location for storing and/or shipping.

What can I put in storage?
We can store anything you have. Nothing is too big or too small.

Where do I get storage boxes?
You can get your free storage boxes in many ways. You can pick up your storage boxes at any one of our stores. You can pick up your boxes in front of your dorm during move out week. We can deliver or ship your boxes to you for a small charge. And remember, we can even pack your items as well with our White Glove service. Contact us for details.

When can I put my items in storage?
You can start storage with us anytime you need during the year. Just email or give us a call and we will pick up all your items whenever you make a request. We will also be parked outside the dorms during your move out week.

When can I pick up my storage?
You can pick up your storage any time during the year. We will also be delivering stored items during the start of the school year at no additional charge.

Is there anything you cannot ship?

Student Storage and Shipping Freight FAQ

What can I ship as freight?
Anything that is too heavy (over 150 lbs.) or too large (over 165 inches in length and girth combined) to be shipped by one of the small package carriers, such as UPS, can be shipped as freight. Freight is typically shipped by truck, but also may be shipped by air, ship or rail depending on the destination.

How is the charge for shipping freight determined?
Like all shipping, the cost is determined by the size and weight of the item(s), the distance shipped and the speed of the shipment.

How do I need to pack my item(s) to ship by freight?
We recommend you leave the packing to us. We have the experience and knowledge to expertly pack your items so that they will arrive safely at their destination.

How is the charge for packaging determined?
Packaging pricing is based on the size, weight and fragility of the item being packed for freight shipment. Some items can be cartonized, some items need to be crated, some items need to be palletized and other items can be blanket wrapped for shipment. Items that are blanket wrapped for shipment will be loaded on a moving van for shipment.

Can you ship internationally?
Yes. We can ship internationally from door to door or door to port.

Can you ship cars?
Yes we can. Big or small, we ship it all. (except hazardous materials)
